Successful people are always people with foresight. It is imperative for us to
understand this and improve our lives not just for today, but also for the future.

Imagine a world where every person was using the Secret to follow their bliss – a
world where every person was fulfilling their purpose, reaching out to help
others, and allowing the will of God to flow through them to create miracles.
Chances are it would look a lot like heaven. Every person safe. Every person
holding everything they need.

You might want a huge house on the hill. Another person might feel abundant, at
ease, and happy with a small, quiet, rural cottage. There is no need to fear
competition, no need to imagine that you must profit at anyone else’s expense.
You must attract the situations that will allow you to profit at everyone’s benefit.

Does the world have to be a dark place, full of wars, full of abuse, full of pain, full
of madness? Are we somehow special, just able to ignore our way into good
things by focusing on the positive?

No. Until others are ready to move forward it is our responsibility to make our
thoughts create positive change. It is our responsibility to take the actions and be
receptive to the ideas that are going to make the whole of the world grow.

Bless others! Show gratitude for all of the ways the world has moved forward.
Once people believed slavery was perfectly normal. Now, even though there are
people who practice slavery illicitly, we all generally understand it is wrong. Even
those who engage in slavery understand it to be wrong. That all began with the
thoughts of those who believed things should be better.

We all have the ability to move forward in this fashion. We cannot fear the way
the world is today. We cannot sit back and hope for some bright future that never
quite arrives. We must work together to create heaven on earth now. We have all
the tools we need.

When you set out to make money on the Internet, you are going to play in a very
equalized pool. Everybody goes to the same internet. Everybody gets the same
Google, the same Facebook, the same Squidoo. Any two people can find the same

sorts of results that people had hoped for, and so they give up. They go on to
something else. They decide it doesn’t work. They go out skeptical and they leave
certain: certain that only scammers and the very lucky make money from home
on the internet.

Yet there are hundreds of thousands of people who are making money on the
internet, making good money. They follow high ethical standards. They provide
real products of real value. They live the kinds of lives they want to live.
This is why the Secret applies to internet marketing so strongly. If you believe in
yourself and what you are doing, you won’t throw in the towel when traffic to
your site isn’t what you’d envisioned. You’ll figure out how to make it better.
You won’t balk at the sudden writer’s block you get when trying to make a solid

You won’t make a slipshod effort that looks slipshod and feels slipshod and

like you already have what you want gives you the strength and power you need
to keep taking the actions that will get you there. Acting like what you want is
always in the future will place your actions in a different place: in a place where

Here are the five things you need to do in order to manifest the wealth that you
are expecting through the Law of Attraction.

Believe
The first step is to ingrain the thought of wealth in your subconscious. You have
to think staunchly that you will be able to attain the large amount of wealth that
you are hoping for.

Visualize
It is very important to actually visualize the wealth. You have to think that the
wealth is already in your bank account and now what you will do with it. Begin
thinking as if you are planning what to do with the money. You don’t have it
already, but that’s not the point. The Law of Attraction tells that you have to be
strong in your belief, and visualization is the best way to do that.

Be Grateful
Taking your belief one step forward, you must actually start thanking the
universe for granting the wealth to you. Well, it has not already granted you the
wealth, but you have no aspersions at all about that happening. You are darned
sure that you will get the wealth and so being grateful is the next logical thing.

Listen to Your Heart
Your heart will tell you a lot of things at this point. It will tell you to do particular
things. Do not stifle any of these “voices”. Listen to them intently. Act upon them.
You have to make sure that you listen to every voice because any of them could be
the one voice that opens the doors of opportunity to you.

Continue Your Actions
Never give up, never relent. Remember that stopping is a sign of weakness. You
don’t want the universe to understand that your belief is faltering. You want it to
know that you will keep up no matter what. Sooner or later, your supreme
confidence is going to bring the wealth at your door.

Life revolves around money so it cannot fail to be part of a discussion as
poignant as how to apply The Secret in our life. Here we take a cynical look at
money and see where it fits in within this realm.

The Secret can bring you money, but it is not about money. It is certainly not
about empty, proud, cold, wealth that stems out of the greed mindset. This is
about fulfilling your purpose, which is expressed in your deepest, most treasured
dreams. The dream of your heart is your purpose on earth.

Our society tends to make us jump right to careers when we hear that, but it
might not be a career at all. Your passion may be to parent your child. Your
passion may be to be the best friend you can possibly be. Your passion may be to
give enough that 1,000 new wells get built in parts of the world that currently
have none.

None of these things can happen without money.
Money starts companies. Money builds bridges and roads. Money brings the
security and freedom a parent needs to focus on parenting. Money brings the
resources for philanthropy.

If you fall into the trap of believing that money is evil, then only evil people will
have money. Do we really want our beliefs to ensure that only pimps, drug
dealers, war mongers, and cheats enjoy abundance while the good people of the
world struggle? Of course not! That would be silly.

Yet if money is all that you focus on, money will always elude you. For one thing,
we tend to store a lot of mental garbage when it comes to money. We tend to
have a lot of fears about money. Fear is always counterproductive.
Bypass money entirely. It’s not important here. It’s necessary, but it’s not all that
important to you.

Joseph Campbell said, “If you follow your bliss, the money will follow.” Get
settled with the idea that you need money to achieve your dreams and that there’s
nothing wrong with that. Then ignore it. Turn your attention to your bliss. That
is where the Secret will begin to work for you. That is where your emotions will
supercharge your thoughts into the change you need.

Pivoting Your Thought Process

So how do you go about developing the kind of thought process, where you
think you are the center of the universe and everything just exists in your frame
of reference?

In order to create the subjective thought process that the Law of Attraction
demands of you, it is very important that you create the right frame of reference.
You have to be like the person seeing everything in a dream. Your perceived
reality is actually the things that are happening in your frame of reference, which
is just another name for your consciousness. But, you need to put a finger on this
consciousness. You need to anchor it. This aspect – anchoring your conscious
mind – is known as pivoting your thought process.

When you begin pivoting your thought process, the primary requirement is to
have a fixed point from where you can begin. Usually, this fixed point is your
resolve, your intention, your motive, your purpose. For example, if you really
need to start a business, your resolution to do that is your pivot. The stronger you
resolve to achieve that, the more profound your pivot will be. That is why people
who have stronger resolutions are able to achieve better things than people who
don’t have a very strong mindset to achieve something.

If you consider your desire as your pivot and see everything from that
perspective, everything begins falling into place. You feel as though everything
that’s happening is happening as a means of bringing you closer to your desire. In
the above instance, if your desire to start a business is your pivot, then you feel as
though everything happening in your life is taking you one step closer toward
realizing your dreams. This includes the positives as well as negatives. If you
suddenly meet someone, you feel that somehow that will be connected with your
new business, which isn’t yet started but you have no apprehensions in your mind
about it. You also feel that your getting fired from your desk job was something
that will take you closer to having your own business.

People who believe in the Law of Attraction staunchly build such pivots in their
minds. Then on, their entire life is focused on this pivot. This is what drives them
and motivates them into coming closer to their goals.

to build your business, believe in your business!

kinds of actions. Inaction or inefficient action.

Either you talk yourself out of starting, or you spin your wheels reading email
after email and surfing website after website without ever really getting your feet
wet. As a result, your life fails to manifest a working internet business that gives
you the freedom you really want.

Compare this to positive, super charged thoughts like: “Nothing’s going to stop
me. I have every tool I need. Other people have done this and so can I. I’m
totally committed. I won’t hold back. I’ve got a plan.”

Thoughts like this lead to you taking appropriate action. You create that product.
You build that list. You stop fretting over the technicalities and the “can’t do” and
get creative about the “can do.” You start outsourcing anything you can’t deal
with on your own. You keep learning. You polish up your management skills and
you keep your mind in the right place—and little by little, your small efforts turn
into something much bigger: the manifestation of a new life.

Have you read or watched "The Secret"?

This is the Secret: thoughts create things.
What things make up your life? Are they things you love or things you’d rather
change? Do you often feel that you’d be happy “if only?” “If only” you had that
job, “if only” you had that amount of money, “if only” you had that perfect body.
Or perhaps “someday” wonderful things are coming your way, but they haven’t
happened yet.

Once you master the Secret you will never make the mistake of feeling that way
again. That’s right! It’s a mistake!

Your thoughts have been creating the life you’ve had so far. And thoughts can be
changed. Thoughts of success, abundance, happiness, beauty, strength, and health energize
us. We begin to resonate with these things. We take positive, fruitful action which
feels effortless. We attract people who are willing to open up doors, people who
can teach us what we need to know, people with the resources we need.

This is called The Law of Attraction. The Secret is nothing less than the science of
how thought interacts with quantum physics to create our experiences. You don’t
even have to understand it. You just have to do it.

Try it out today. Start small. Start with something that you won’t talk yourself out of.
Do you want a great relationship with your boss? Sit down. Picture what that
looks like. Picture it in every intimate detail. What does it feel like? Feel those
feelings. Be thankful today that you have such a great relationship with your boss.
Then claim it. Begin acting as a great relationship with your boss is how it is,
always has been, and always will be. Pretend if you have to. Smile. Speak with the
confidence someone with a great relationship with his boss has.

Did you know that the Society for Human Resource Management has reported that
76% of American workers are considering looking for another job and, further that they
estimate there will be 22 million new jobs created over the next ten years, but only 17
million new workers available to fill these jobs?
While every generation of workers has a different set of work expectations, the desire
for work/life balance has become one of the foremost goals of every generation in the
workforce today.
Baby Boomers are reducing work hours and many ‘Thirty-Somethings’ are starting
their own businesses in order to have more control over their lives and schedules.
A recent study done by the Families and Work Institute illustrates that young workers
just starting out in the workforce are choosing to turn down promotional opportunities
to achieve greater work/life balance.
Why do you suppose these apple-cheeked, enthusiastic job entrants might take this
approach? In a study done with young employees by Families and Workplace,
work/life balance was among the top for both genders.
Most of these young adults were raised in families where both parents worked and
they experienced the sacrifice and demands placed upon their parents, firsthand.
Not surprisingly, of all the generations in the workforce today, these young adults are
the most likely to consider job flexibility and schedules when they look for a job, and it
is key to employee retention for companies that employ these young workforce.
The point of all of this background information is to let you know that you are not alone
in your desire to find balance.
All generations in all types of jobs are today, looking for balance, less stress, and more
time with family and friends. Like you, these people are willing to give it their all when
they are at work and they expect to work hard, but in exchange, they want a life.
In essence, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
If you think that work and family life balance is a small problem, you may be interested
to know that, in addition to the few companies that have recognized the issue and
taken the lead in establishing life balance programs, there are numerous
organizations, foundations, universities and groups doing research on this topic.
Organizations as diverse as religious groups, government agencies, human resource
companies and behavioral scientists now study these issues and, not just because it is
the right thing to do.
There are real economic advantages to companies that recognize the need for life
balance and create a working environment to help their employees live their lives more
fully.
Companies spend a lot of money training and keeping employees and happy
employees will stay longer, live longer and contribute to the company longer.
But, we are just scratching the surface in understanding the true human toll that an
unbalanced life takes. Many have studied the evolving societal issues and their roots
in overwork and lost community connections.

Health – Living an unbalanced life where work dominates can significantly affect your
health. Long or stressful work hours can cause problems with your heart, your blood
pressure, and your sleep cycles.
Studies show a significant increase in heart attack and stroke since the advent of
seventy-hour workweeks. Long hours at work and lots of work related travel also
encourages poor diet and leaves little time for exercise.
As we become more out of shape, sleep less and experience health problems, we are
no longer the powerful asset to our employers, nor can we participate fully in a family
and social life. It's vital to be free from diseases to live life to the fullest.
Emotional Wellness – Your ability to give back to your family, friends and community,
and your own emotional stability depends on a balanced life.
As overly dramatic as it sounds, you are likely to experience emotional problems, need
counseling and suffer from anxiety attacks or other problems if you have no time to
decompress and relax.
There are numerous scientific studies on the benefits of relaxation, recreation and
meditation.
And these benefits are both physical and emotional.
You can’t be ready to take on the issues in your family, support your spouse, parents,
siblings and children and your friends if you have no emotional stamina.
If you’ve spent all of your focus and attention on work and you find yourself so tired at
the end of the day that you don’t even want to talk to your family, you have a problem.
And your family may not wait around for you to resolve it!
The societal impact of ‘all work and no play’ has damaged and destroyed many a
family and the divorce rate continues to climb. Children grow up barely knowing their
parents because they are away at work all the time.
Family vacations are a thing of the past in many families. Vacations get postponed and
many employees find themselves losing their accrued vacation time because they
have ‘rolled it over’ for so many years and just NOT taken the vacation they deserved.
Your emotional reserves are depleted. You have no patience with yourself or others.
You are short on sleep and even on time to think about what you want for dinner.
Is it any wonder that psychologists and psychiatrists are busier than ever?
Stress - We have talked about the health implications related to ‘all work and no play’
but stress is its own health factor.
Even if you like your job, if you have no time for anything else, stress will get you
eventually.
We’ll talk more about stress later and you’ll get some tips on how to eliminate or
mitigate stress so that your body and mind will be better able to handle whatever
comes your way.
For now, what you need to understand is that stress can affect your physical and
emotional health and that, over time, it can make you very sick. If you are not in a
position to change jobs or otherwise make a major change to relieve stress, learn how
to handle it better.
We’re not talking about taking five years of classes here. We are talking about simple
techniques you can use to help balance your life.
Remember that work/life balance is not just a question of the hours you spend in one
place or another. It is also a question of how balanced you feel and how you react to
things.
No matter how much time you have with your family and friends, you will enjoy it more
if you are able to balance YOURSELF.
If you can become less of a victim of stress and overwork and take control of your own
reaction to stress, you will live longer and be happier at work and at home.
Family and Community – Government and university studies support the idea that
the ‘all work and no play’ lifestyle contributes to divorce, dysfunction in the family, and
lack of involvement and investment in the community and neighborhood.
As the community grows apart and neighbors become strangers, emotional and family
support for things like childcare, help with aging parents and support following trauma
and tragedy become real issues.
The community turns to the government to supply services to fill this gap, taxes rise
and people remain strangers.
Families struggle with alternating schedules, and children fail to thrive emotionally and
physically.
Divorce is rampant and single parents are under even more stress with even less time
to pay attention to children. So, things deteriorate even more!
Role models for marriage, relationships and juggling time and family are important to a
child’s adult relationships. If we do not provide those positive role models, we
perpetuate the problem.
It is interesting to note that the generation of children now in the work force has started
to rebel against jobs and employers that require ridiculous hours and dedication
beyond the call of duty.
They understand the toll this type of career takes on a life. They grew up in families
that suffered this impact.
Perhaps our greatest hope for change lies in this generation of seasoned veterans of
dysfunctional families.
Productivity – If your employer believes that your eighty-hour workweek is giving him
more benefit, he should look at the statistics and information gathered by human
resource companies and companies that focus on efficiency and productivity.
It is a fact that the human brain needs downtime and rest and recreation to recycle.
Think about your own life and the times when you had to work long hours to get
something finished.
Perhaps you found that you could barely focus after a certain number of hours. There
is a reason that coaches that teach good study habits tell students not to cram for
eighteen hours before an exam, but rather to spread out the studying and mix in
recreation.
Take a walk; talk with friends to regain your clarity and focus.
If you and your employer truly want to take the best advantage of your time, you need
to take time for yourself.
You will spend less time reworking things you’ve done wrong, mistakes you’ve made
and details you’ve missed. And your employer will get better quality and output
regardless of your job.
Pilots are subject to time constraints and can only spend so many hours in the air
because airlines learned a long time ago that a tired and overworked pilot could make
critical errors.
In lengthy neurosurgery or heart surgery, surgeons take breaks and leave the
operating room to clear their heads and rest.
Again, these habits and techniques were learned the hard way and only when critical
mistakes were made did these work policies change. You wouldn’t want a tired doctor
working on your open heart, would you?
Life Goals – Everyone has goals. And you are probably no exceptions. You may have
work and career-related goals like promotions, expanded responsibilities, and
recognition as an expert in your industry.
These are all fine, but be sure you don’t just focus on your job. Many people come to
identify their success in life by their position in their job and the recognition they get
there.
If they become disabled or sick, or if they retire, they suddenly find that they don’t
know themselves anymore.
They have no identity at work so they don’t know who they are. They may have lost
family and friends or have become strangers to these people, unaware of the
important events that happened at home while they were at work.
So, they have to get to know themselves and their loved ones all over again. For
some, this is an impossible task.
Be sure you set personal goals, family goals and general goals in your life for growth
and happiness.
Whether it is going on for a Masters Degree in the fine art you love, learning how to fly
a plane, or playing the piano, you should have goals that keep you involved in other
parts of your life.
While you are setting goals, don’t forget your family goals. Perhaps you have always
wanted to take your wife to Hawaii. Set the goal and a timetable and do it!
Remember that life goals can include giving back to the community and to
others.
It is interesting to note that, since so many people cannot achieve their personal goals
because of career obligations, we now find it difficult to get baseball coaches to
volunteer their time, or to get people to volunteer in hospitals and work for the
community as a volunteer ambulance driver or firefighter.

How balanced is your work & family life?

There was a time, in the not-so-distant past, when families were expected to give up
everything in order to achieve the financial security they craved. Perhaps you
remember those decades, perhaps you are too young to recall those times.
Those were the days when climbing the corporate ladder was a revered activity, and
wives and children gazed fondly at pictures of the breadwinner in order to remember
whether poor, exhausted Dad had blue eyes or brown.
Large companies moved employees from one city to another, like pawns on a
chessboard and, if you had any hope of climbing the ladder toward upper
management positions, you packed up the wife and kids and moved on from Chicago,
to Boston, to New York, to Tokyo.
In the intervening years, the divorce rate climbed, fathers lost touch with their families
and died of heart attacks and strokes at an alarming rate. When these men retired,
they felt useless and unproductive.
Over the years, the identity of these men had become inextricably tied to their success
on the job. New retirees found themselves wondering who they were, and why they
were living with women who were complete strangers to them. And, whatever
happened to those darling kids who used to live in the house?
Then women entered the workforce in earnest and joined the rat race.
Lest you think that this rat race has come to an end, look to the evidence of stress
related death and illness, an increase in the average number of hours worked by
employees in the U.S. and around the world, skyrocketing numbers of divorces and
children in single-parent families.
And, let us not forget those of us who are responsible for the care of aging parents.
We live in a world of conveniences that were designed to give us more leisure time.
But, it would seem that all the informational overload, whirring computers and media
blitz has given us is more time for work.
It is not unusual for men and women to work sixty or seventy hours per week on
average. Some of us work eighty or ninety hours without batting an eyelash. And, we
fool ourselves into thinking we have a life!
If you are one of the enlightened few, you have already come to the conclusion that
giving up a social and family life is too great a price to pay for career success.
Maybe, you have stress related health problems, perhaps you are not eating right, and
you are probably fighting with your spouse, boyfriend or best buddy because you
spend too little time with the people you care about most.

The Aloha Spirit is a well known reference to the attitude of friendly acceptance for which the Hawaiian Islands are so famous. However, it also refers to a powerful way to resolve any problem, accomplish any goal, and to achieve any state of mind or body that you desire.
In the Hawaiian language, aloha stands for much more than just "hello" or "goodbye" or "love." Its deeper meaning is "the joyful (oha) sharing (alo) of life energy (ha) in the present (alo)."
As you share this energy you become attuned to the Universal Power that the Hawaiians call mana. And the loving use of this incredible Power is the secret for attaining true health, happiness, prosperity and success.
The way to tune into this Power and have it work for you is so simple that you might be tempted to pass it off as being too easy to be true. Please don't let yourself be fooled by appearances. Take the time to try it out.
This is the most powerful technique in the world, and although it is extremely simple it may not prove easy, because you must remember to do it and you have to do it a lot. It is a secret which has been given to humanity over and over again, and here it is once more in another form. The secret is this:

Bless everyone and everything that represents what you want!

That's all there is to it. Anything that simple, however, does need some explanation.
To bless something means to give recognition or emphasis to a positive quality, characteristic or condition, with the intent that what is recognized or emphasized will increase, endure or come into being.
Blessing is effective in changing your life or getting what you want for three reasons: First of all, the positive focus of your mind stirs up the positive, creative force of the Power of the Universe. Secondly, it moves your own energy outward, allowing more of the Power to come through you. Thirdly, when you bless for the benefit of others instead of directly for yourself, you tend to bypass any subconscious fears about what you want for yourself, and also the very focus on the blessing acts to increase the same good in your life. What is so beautiful about this process is that the blessing you do for others helps them as well as you.
Blessing may be done with imagery or touch, but the most usual and easy way to do it is with words. The main kinds of verbal blessing are:
Admiration - This is the giving of compliments or praise to something good that you notice. E.g., "What a beautiful sunset; I like that flower; you're such a wonderful person."
Affirmation - This is a specific statement of blessing for increase or endurance. E.g., "I bless the beauty of this tree; blessed be the health of your body."
Appreciation - This is an expression of gratitude that something good exists or has happened. E.g., "Thank you for helping me; I give thanks to the rain for nourishing the land."
Anticipation - This is blessing for the future. E.g., "We're going to have a great picnic; I bless your increased income; Thank you for my perfect mate; I wish you a happy journey; May the wind be always at your back."
In order to gain the most benefit from blessing, you will have to give up or cut way down on the one thing that negates it: cursing. This doesn't mean swearing or saying "bad" words. It refers to the opposite of blessing, namely criticizing instead of admiring; doubting instead of affirming; blaming instead of appreciating; and worrying instead of anticipating with trust. Whenever any of these are done they tend to cancel out some of the effects of blessing. So the more you curse the harder it will be and the longer it will take to get the good from a blessing. On the other hand, the more you bless the less harm any cursing will do.
Here, then, are some ideas for blessing various needs and desires. Apply them as often as you like, as much as you want.
Health - Bless healthy people, animals, and even plants; everything which is well made or well constructed; and everything that expresses abundant energy.
Happiness - Bless all that is good, or the good that is in all people and all things; all the signs of happiness that you see, hear or feel in people or animals; and all potentials for happiness that you notice around you.
Prosperity - Bless all the signs of prosperity in your environment, including everything that money helped to make or do; all the money that you have in any form; and all the money that circulates in the world.
Success - Bless all signs of achievement and completion (such as buildings, bridges, and sports events); all arrivals at destinations (of ships, planes, trains, cars and people); all signs of forward movement or persistence; and all signs of enjoyment or fun.
Confidence - Bless all signs of confidence in people and animals; all signs of strength in people, animals and objects (including steel and concrete); all signs of stability (like mountains and tall trees); and all signs of purposeful power (including big machines, power lines).
Love and Friendship - Bless all signs of caring and nurturing, compassion and support; all harmonious relationships in nature and architecture; everything that is connected to or gently touching something else; all signs of cooperation, as in games or work; and all signs of laughter and fun.
Inner Peace - Bless all signs of quietness, calmness, tranquility, and serenity (such as quiet water or still air); all distant views (horizons, stars, the moon); all signs of beauty of sight, sound or touch; clear colors and shapes; the details of natural or made objects.
Spiritual Growth - Bless all signs of growth, development and change in Nature; the transitions of dawn and twilight; the movement of sun, moon, planets and stars; the flight of birds in the sky; and the movement of wind and sea.
The previous ideas are for guidance if you are not used to blessing, but don't be limited by them. Remember that any quality, characteristic or condition can be blessed (e.g., you can bless slender poles and slim animals to encourage weight loss), whether it has existed, presently exists, or exists so far in your imagination alone.
Personally I have used the power of blessing to heal my body, increase my income, develop many skills, create a deeply loving relationship with my wife and children, and to establish a worldwide network of peacemakers working with the aloha spirit. It's because it has worked so well for me that I want to share it with you. Please share it with as many others as you can.

How to Enhance Your Power to Bless

There is a technique practiced in Hawaii which enhances your power to bless by increasing your personal energy. It is a simple way of breathing that is also used for grounding, centering, meditation and healing. It requires no special place or posture, and may be done while moving or still, busy or resting, with eyes open or closed. In Hawaiian the technique is called pikopiko because piko means both the crown of the head and the navel.
The Technique
1. Become aware of your natural breathing (it might change on its own just because of your awareness, but that's okay).
2. Locate the crown of your head and your navel by awareness and/or touch.
3. Now, as you inhale put your attention on the crown of your head; and as you exhale put your attention on your navel. Keep breathing this way for as long as you like.
4. When you feel relaxed, centered, and/or energized, begin imagining that you are surrounded with an invisible cloud of light or an electro-magnetic field, and that your breathing increases the energy of this cloud or field.
5. As you bless, imagine that the object of your blessing is surrounded with some of the same energy that surrounds you.

If you're resolving to stop under-earning in 2011, my hat is off to you. Making that decision is huge. And I believe that you can live up to your resolution, provided you do three things.
First, I have a request. As you read, sit with each of these keys and ponder what putting them into action would look like. Let each one settle into your heart and mind. Into your bones.
Because when you internalize and apply these principles, they can make a powerful difference, not just profitability, but in joy.

#1. Choose profitability

It's one thing to make a resolution; it's another to make an informed choice. When you choose, you are saying, "This, not that."
Yup. When you choose, you are saying yes to some things and no to others. Here are some of the things you need to say no to in order to choose profitability.

The No List

Being in a money fog.
Confusing feelings with facts.
Separating your spirituality from your business.
Believing that you have to overwork or shut down emotionally in order to succeed.
Playing small.
Under-earning.

And here's what you need to say yes to.

The Yes List

Being conscious and accountable about money.
Working on your stuff so you can show up for yourself, your clients, and your biz.
Integrating heart and spirit with business.
Consistent, supportive structures that keep you sane and productive.
Being visible. Letting your light shine.
Earning a truly comfortable living.

Now you know what it takes to choose. On to the second key to bringing your whole self to a profitable 2011.

#2. Do something small every day

Do one thing every day that will contribute to profitability. Write a blog post. Return a phone call. Work on your Web site.
Whatever you do, keep it small. Binge working doesn't make you profitable because it doesn't generate momentum. But you'll be amazed and delighted at how your confidence grows when you show up for yourself and your business in a small way each day.

Bonus tip: Choose, declare, report, repeat

You'll get 10 times the benefit of small daily actions when you:

Choose a specific, time limited action.
Declare it to someone else. (Email works fine.)
Report on what you did.
Repeat the cycle each day.

I can't tell you how powerful that formula is. It's added thousands to my bottom line in 2010 while making life simpler and work clearer.

#3. Embrace your stuff

There's nothing like choosing profitability to stir up your stuff. Money stuff. Relationship stuff. Self worth stuff. Whatever your stuff is, you can count on it coming up on a regular basis.
Embrace it. Not only is your stuff not a problem, it is the solution to becoming profitable. When you work on your stuff while tending to business, you dissolve blocks and limiting beliefs, create new neural pathways, and build resilience.
Making a profit becomes part of your commitment to ongoing growth and transformation.

Three little things

Make a choice. Do something small every day. Embrace your stuff. If you consistently do these, you will be significantly more profitable in 2011.

The tip I am about to present is so powerful, but yet most people have no clue and delay their progress because they didn't get this part.

The Tip- When you picture yourself obtaining your goals, only picture the result! Don't picture yourself making progress, and don't focus on getting there step by step. Don't say phrases like
"I think I can" and "I'm getting where I want to be". Instead, project the final objective as completed!

What you think and project is what the world will bring you next! If you project making progress, the world will respond and the results will be that you make progress. Yes this is good, but it
would have been a lot better and faster if you projected that you already succeeded! When the world responds, it will bring you to success much faster if you focus on the feelings of your completed
goal. So in summary, cut right to the chase, and project yourself as you want the final outcome to be. You will be amazed by the results!

Millionaires start out working very hard in order to become wealthy enough to not
have to work hard later. There is definitely some hard work involved if you want to
become someone who makes seven figures a year. However, you may find that
even though it’s a lot of work in the beginning, it quickly becomes addictive when you
start to see the money coming in. And when you are seeing great results, the hard
work doesn’t seem so difficult any more!

Most millionaires wind up working extremely hard today, so in the future they can
have more time to spend with their families and friends and do the things they love.
Of course, you will occasionally see those who are living an extravagant lifestyle and
appear to be lazy and self-indulgent – the ones who live in mansions and are always
taking exotic holidays and such.

But most millionaires do not come across money by luck so they don’t take it for
granted. They never forget the hard work and persistence it took for them to get
where they are now. They truly appreciate the path they took – the risks and the
sacrifices involved - that allowed them to live their current lifestyle.

I have found that well over two thirds of the millionaires I know aren’t very flashy
people. Sure - they might go on quite a few flashy vacations - as they value their
time to relax - but they don’t often choose to spend their money on flashy cars, large
extravagant mansions, or things of that nature. That sort of lifestyle doesn’t really
suit the average millionaire in my experience.

Below are some timeless tips that will help you raise your vibration to enhance your manifesting success and connect more to the radiant truth of your being and the bountiful nature of reality.

1. Take Responsibility
As James Allen says, "Circumstance does not make a man, it reveals him to himself'. The more you take responsibility for your life, the more you are able to change it. Responsibility is freedom and empowerment. Become conscious of the thoughts, feelings, beliefs and attitudes that are creating your world. Take responsibility for them and choose those that serve you and your world.
2. Gratitude

Gratitude opens your heart and connects you and aligns your vibration to that which you feel grateful for and as such attracts more of the same into your life. It is a way to give (in its appreciation) and receive (by the opening and expansion of that giving). The more you value and appreciate something, the more there will be to value and appreciate.
3. Trust
Trust takes you towards happy desired outcomes in a magical, effortless way. Trust yourself and your power as a creator. Trust the universe and the gifts it wishes to bestow open you. Trust the doors that are opening and those that are closing. Relinquish control and allow yourself to be carried along the river of trust that will take you to your goals with grace and ease.
4. Suspend judgment
Judging others or yourself lowers and constricts your energy and separates you from love, truth and joy. It is a way of making yourself superior and above another by making them 'less than' or 'wrong'. It can be a way you deny your own self-judgments by projecting your guilt onto another. The more you love and accept yourself, the less you judge others. We all make mistakes. Seek to forgive, love and understand both the one you are tempted to judge and any potential shadows within you that they are reflecting.
5. Meditate
Meditation allows a calm and balanced perspective to be reached and negativity to wash away and dissipate. It creates a gateway through which you can access higher states of consciousness and connect to the love and wisdom of your Higher Self. Meditation returns you to a place of clarity, truth and peace and allows your energy to clear, align, balance and recharge.
6. Honor your emotions
Honor your emotions and listen to what they are telling you about what's going on inside. If they are negative or uncomfortable what thoughts or beliefs are they pointing to that may need changing or aligning? Express and release your feelings rather than deny, repress, control or judge them. This doesn't mean wallowing in them or giving them undue attention if they do not serve you (i.e. nip that self-pity in the bud!), nor does it mean venting at someone inappropriately (writing a letter and burning it would be far 'cleaner'). Honour your emotions by accepting them and allowing them to be released.
7. Know you are loved
You are loved totally and unconditionally by the source of creation. There is nothing you need do to win that love and nothing you can do to lose it. Becoming aware of this truth connects you to your inherent value, increases your sense of worth and deserving, heals pain of separation and loneliness and opens you to the love that is there for you in every moment.
8. Forgive yourself and others
Forgiveness of self and others is the ultimate mind-body-soul detox. It liberates you from whole clusters of toxic emotions and sets you free from draining attachments. It can also set you free from feelings of guilt, shame and undeserving that block you from happiness and success. In forgiving another you are also forgiving yourself. It is an immensely powerful force for healing and transformation and a most gracious gift you can give yourself and another.
9. Have fun
Fun will attract success into your life like iron filings to a magnet. It is the antidote to stress, struggle, tediousness and seriousness. When you are having fun you are open and sharing of who you are and ride on the current of spontaneity and joy. What brings you fun, happiness and joy? Commit to more of it in all areas of your life!
10. Love, Love, Love!
Love yourself and others. There may be times this is easier than others, but make it your overriding intention. Love lies at the heart of all that you seek, and separation from it lies at the root of your troubles and pain. Let love be a guiding light in your life that will steer your ship through stormy waters back to the shore of truth, happiness and joy. We all love to love and be loved! It doesn't get better than that! It is the highest vibration there is. The more you love yourself and others, the happier, brighter and more successful your life will become.

Have you started thinking about next year yet? What dreams and

I’ve set some big goals and targets for next year around
providing more resources to help you to build the business and

start to think about yours... far too many people fail to set
goals that get them up and get them going.
No-one knows what 2011 will bring for themselves, for their
businesses or for the world at large but if you start without a
plan, you’re pretty much guaranteed that you won’t achieve

Millionaires enjoy helping others to become more successful.
They understand that the more people they help to become wealthy and successful,
the more people that are there who are willing to help them in their pursuit of wealth
and other goals. They also understand that the true art of networking and deal
making means win-win negotiating for mutual long term benefit.
So, let’s look at this trait more closely. If you can help a lot of other people do
extremely well in the world, then you’ve got a lot of people who are going to be more
than happy to help you and want you to be successful in your own endeavors as
well. In fact, when you help others reach their goals or realize the life of their dreams,
they’ll bend over backward and go out of their way to help you.
This is often referred to as the law of reciprocity. You’ve probably experienced this in
your own life. When someone does something really great for you – something that
really helps you, you can’t help but want to help them in return. You won’t forget the
kindness and help – it will stay there in your mind for a very long time.
It’s really a numbers game – or perhaps a better way to put it is that the more good
you put out into the world, the more good will come back to you. The more people
you can help, the more people you will have wanting to help you at some point in the
future.
I have found that some people who are doing somewhat well or having a small degree
of success have a difficult time developing and nurturing this type of relationship with
anyone who is really successful. Their mindset is one of scarcity or lack so they are
very cagey about sharing the things that are working for them. They seem to be
afraid that you will take their idea and perhaps end up becoming more successful
then them or become their direct competition.
There are a small percentage of millionaires that think that way. However, in general
they are the exception to the rule. Most of the millionaires that I know are wonderfully
open and honest and more than happy to help and share advice to help people get
ahead. And believe me when I say that it comes back to them ten fold.
Millionaires also understand that the true art of networking and deal making means
win-win negotiating for mutual long term benefit. If it’s a win-lose relationship, where
one person is thinking, “I’m a really good negotiator because I got such a great deal
out of this guy,” then no one really wins.
You need to understand that if that is your mindset, then you’ll find that a) you’ll never
develop a mutually beneficial long-term relationship with that person, and b) they’re
not very likely to speak highly of you or recommend you to others when they are
talking about you.
It’s extremely important that you always think in terms of “win-win” – how both of you
can do extremely well in any particular deal. In his now famous book “The 7 Habits
of Highly Successful People”, Stephen Covey discusses the importance of making a
“win-win” approach one of your 7 habits – and how much you will benefit when you
do.
You can’t just think about your own good – you must think in terms of how they will
benefit as well. For example, if you are the type of person who goes into a shop and
starts bargaining down the price of an item, you really need to remember that that
shop owner needs to make a profit as well – if he wants to stay in business.
It will pay to always consider the other person as well – think about their goals and
try to help them while trying to benefit yourself as well. Remember this principle
especially whenever you are negotiating or dealing with business matters.

If there's something you're wanting to manifest but are not succeeding, look to what beliefs are standing in the way!

What's so great about beliefs is that you can change them, and choose those that suit you and are aligned to your visions and goals.

Doing so attracts your goals to you in a natural and effortless way.

I remember when I changed one limiting belief I had identified around money from 'Money doesn't like me' to 'Money loves me', and my financial reality radically transformed!

You first want to identify the limiting beliefs that are standing in the way, then clear those beliefs and install new replacement ones in your subconscious mind.
Now, some IMPORTANT points about MANIFESTATION!...

Firstly, if you're finding it hard to believe in a particular goal, check that your goal is something your heart really desires (and not just a product of your ego, the consensus, what other people want or expect for you, etc.)

Also, ensure your goals are RELATIVELY realistic (i.e. winning the Oscars in 1 year's time if you haven't even had acting lessons yet may be a little far-fetched!).

DO, however... DARE to dream BIG!

Stretch your vision and expand to the vast horizons of the POSSIBLE!
When you open to possibility, more dreams will become probable, and grander potentials manifest in your world.

If other people have achieved what you want to achieve, there's no reason why you can't if that goal is aligned to your heart and you do 'your bit'.

And one thing that will ensure whether you successfully create it or not, is your BELIEF.

It starts with believing in the possibility of your goal, and opening to that possibility through flexing your IMAGINATION.

Be sure to V-I-S-U-A-L-I-Z-E and allow yourself to dream regularly.

Allow yourself to indulge in wondrous juicy imaginings of JUST HOW GOOD LIFE CAN GET!!

In doing this you open to goals of your heart... goals that you truly love!

Look also to your gifts, talents, passions and joys, etc.

You see, to manifest something you need to really want it, otherwise the passion and power to magnetize it into your life, and the motivation to take necessary ACTION won't be there.

Doing 'your bit', in addition to believing, visualizing, and so on, involves taking practical steps towards your goals.

The universe will start to rearrange itself on your behalf, with synchronicities and serendipities delivering your dreams to YOU!

Baby steps can be precursors of miracles and lead to monumental change!

Desire, Believe, Visualize, Act and... Receive

Be open to receive your dreams so their manifestation can be elegant and in flow. Don't try to control. It doesn't have to be a struggle or effortful. In fact, if it is, it can be an indication of faulty beliefs standing in your way.

Let go of who you think you are to become who you might be!

To receive you also need to let go of strong attachments to your goal, yet still remain desiring of it, positively expectant and enthusiastic about it.

Be light-hearted and open. Know you deserve. Let go, trust, and go with the flow.

Walk through the doors that are opening, and be grateful for the ones that are closing!

Trust in the universe that is ever on your side and your power as a co-creator.

We all have dreams of what we would like out of life. For most people, these dreams usually involve large sums of money and a lot of freedom. The problem is that most people’s “daily reality” doesn’t seem to have any connection to those dreams.

How do we start to bridge the gap between our current experience of life and jump up to a level that is closer to what we are dreaming for ourselves?

It’s simple really: We have to start taking action to move a little bit closer to that big long term dream.

That starts with taking the action to learn about other options you haven’t considered before.

For example, if wealth is part of your dream, it is a good idea to study the methods that others have used to gain wealth, and emulate the methods that are right for you.

If peace of mind is part of your dream for your self, it is a good idea to study and apply the methods of “mental engineering” that others have used to transform their thoughts and beliefs into a peaceful mental landscape.

Branding is a tricky thing; mainly because everyone seems to have their own idea as to what it means to “build your brand”. In this post, I’m going to share with you my take on building your brand and 10 simple ways your blog can help you do it better.
Your brand, whether personal or business, is nothing more than the perception of others; in our case, this is our target market. It’s our job to first find out who we want to be and how we want to be viewed in the marketplace and then take steps to make that a reality.
Remember, people do business with people they Know, Like and Trust. The following 10 steps are designed to help your brand fulfill those 3 things.
Brand awareness is when people identify your brand to be yours under different conditions; whether they’re on Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube. The first step is making your brand memorable and your blog is the perfect vehicle for doing that.
Step #1. Have a Unique Blog Design
The key to becoming memorable is making a good first impression and having a unique blog design can do just that. I love WooThemes because of their great design, and their ability to make your blog stand out from the rest. Although having a uniquely designed blog is not more important than your brand’s message, it still plays a big visual role.
Step #2. Get a Business Logo
This doesn’t have to be fancy like Chris’ logo – but having something that symbolizes your brand’s image will help in building brand awareness and recognition. A perfect example of this would be Matthew Needham (The Tomato Guy!). His company is called the Big Red Tomato Company and his logo is a big juicy tomato – talk about being memorable!
Now, I know some of us want to build a personal brand. If this is what you plan to do, having a picture of yourself on your blog will help put a face to the business. This will also help with personal brand recognition.
Step #3. Create a Tag Line
A tag line is a phrase that lets your visitors know exactly what you’re about the minute they visit your blog. This works best when the tag line states a benefit. For example, my tag line reads: “I’ll Help You Blog Your Way To More Traffic, More Leads & A Bigger Business”. Please share your tag line in the comments section below.

Building Brand Likability

After making it easy for people to recognize your brand, you need to make them Like you. But, how do you do that? Well, I think the best way is by connecting with your audience on a personal level. I don’t know about you, but I much rather speak to a real person when calling a company than talking to a pre-recorded message. As virtual entrepreneurs, if we want to be liked, we need to be personable.
The great thing is that you audience WANTS to be able to connect with you on a more personal level, and when they can do that, they’ll be more likely to do business with you. Here’s how you can build brand likability using your blog:
Step #4. Create an About Me Page
This page is the perfect place to speak a little about yourself, so that they can get to know you better. Due to something called “Laziness”, I still don’t have one of these bad boys up, but after writing this post for Chris, I think I’m going to get to it.
Step #5. Add a Facebook Like Box
Step #6. Add Social Media Icons
Step #7. Upload & Publish Live Video
Steps 5, 6 and 7 are all about being human. Here’s a scenario I think you’ll enjoy.
Pretend there are 2 Business Experts. They both have blogs and they both put out really good content. But Expert A also has a Facebook page, talks to you on Twitter and publishes live video of him/herself regularly – while Expert B does not.
Which Business Expert would you feel more comfortable calling up and hiring for consulting? If you said Expert A.. then you “get” what I’m saying. Let’s move on..

Building Your Brand’s Trust & Credibility

Now, you could be the coolest person on earth but that still doesn’t mean they’ll start throwing money at you. Your audience needs to trust you before they buy anything from you. This is where most people get stuck because this is the part that takes the most work.
Building trust with your blog is all about adding value to your community in the form of articles, guest posts, audio podcasts or videos. This part also includes adding social proof into the mix. Here’s how you use your blog to build trust:
Step #8. Create Unique Compelling Content
Step #9. Have a Unique Free Offer
While everything I’ve mentioned will help you boost your brand awareness and likability, the content should always be your main focus. Without great content, nothing else matters. Your audience will begin to trust you (and you’re brand) when they see that you’re out to HELP them.
I also suggest having a valuable piece of content to give away as an incentive to sign up for your email list. There are still people using crappy PLR material to get email sign-ups. That’s not only damaging to your brand, that also destroy the relationship with your potential customer before it starts.
Step #10. Use Social Proof
Social proof is and will always be a hot topic. I could probably write an entire blog post on it. People want to know how they can create social proof because they know that if other people say they’re cool, their customers will think they’re cool, too.
Well, look no further than this blog itself. Chris has an entire page dedicated to displaying why you should trust him. He calls it, VBL Around the Web, where he displays links to various interviews and a ton of guest posts. Not only is it a great resource full of valuable content, it also positions him (and his brand) very well.

Millionaire Mindset Trait #7: Never allow non-inspirational people to influence you in a negative way.

Millionaires never allow non-inspirational people to influence them in a negative way. Non-inspirational and / or negative people will drain your energy, dampen your confidence, and poke holes in your dreams – but only if you allow them.

I actually know a lot of individuals who have people like that in their lives – sadly often a partner or one of their friends - who have tried to talk them out of their desire to create wealth. They say negative things like, “You can’t do that - sure, other people may be able to do that, but you aren’t smart enough to do it”, or “You’ll never get rich – you’re just setting yourself up for a big let down.”

The reality is, it doesn’t make any sense for you to listen to the advice of people who aren’t where you want to be in life. They’ll attempt to undermine and sabotage your efforts. While some of them may think they are doing it to “protect” you from hurt or disappointment, there are some who do it with ulterior motives. They don’t want you to succeed because then they won’t have any excuse for their own failure or mediocrity. And they may be jealous that you are taking risks and doing things that they never had the courage to do.

You’ll have a difficult time finding any millionaires who will make those types of negative, uninspiring, or confidence-crushing statements. You will also have a hard time finding millionaires who engage in those types of negative thought patterns. Remember earlier how I discussed the power of your thoughts – millionaires know that and that’s why they don’t give any energy to entertaining negative ones.

You should only listen to people who are where you want to be in life.

Whenever you encounter people like this – the ones who often make negative statements regarding your quest for wealth – you need to ignore them or at best, take what they say with a grain of salt. If you want to stop them in their tracks, you might say something like this:

“Thank you for caring enough about me to share your thoughts and give me advice. But, you are an average person in society who’s living inside society’s box. You make the same income as most people, and you are struggling financially just as much as everyone else. So, with all due respect, I’m not going to listen to your advice. I prefer to listen instead to someone who is actually where I want to be in life.”

Of course, you may want to stop after the first sentence if the person trying to give you advice is someone who isn’t going to be able to handle the brutal honesty contained in the rest of the response.

You’ve really got to be very careful when it comes to who you take advice from. If you don’t have friends who are millionaires to listen to, then as discussed again, flood yourself with the wisdom and knowledge of millionaires from books, audio programs, and eBooks.

To reiterate this trait, millionaires don’t listen to advice from or allow themselves to be influenced by non-inspirational, negative people.

Now, if you are doing really well and making an incredible income, you will find that you are in the position to become an inspiration to your friends and family. Of course, there will be a few who will not want to listen to you because they are jealous of you. But for many of your friends, you will find that they are thinking to themselves, “Wow, that’s amazing!” Those are the ones you will be able to inspire – because they will be
receptive to it.

Even if they have no interest in doing the same thing you do – to copy what you do in business, your success can at least inspire them to believe that great wealth can be attained – that it is within their reach. You can be the one who helps them realize that what had seemed impossible before really is possible, because if you can do it, they know they can as well!

By the way, knowing that you have inspired other people – especially those you care about - to improve their lives, see possibilities, and actively move towards their own goals – is one of the greatest rewards you will ever experience!

Millionaire Mindset Trait #6: Focus on purposes beyond yourself – on things you can do with great wealth to help others.

This particular millionaire mindset trait is one of my own personal beliefs. I’m not sure that every millionaire shares it or not, but I believe it is a powerful thing to think about.

I have found that it’s often much easier to motivate yourself by focusing on purposes beyond yourself – in other words, to think about all the ways you can help others with your wealth.

I believe this principle is especially important when you are making good money but you haven’t yet reached the point of making truly great money. So, let’s say you’ve reached the point of making $10,000 a week. For many of you, this level of income will feel quite comfortable - comfortable enough that you may find yourself losing the drive and motivation to do what it takes to get yourself to the next level.

But if you’re thinking of other people as well, and all the wonderful things you can do for others as a millionaire, then that can be a powerful motivator.

For example, let’s say you have the following dialogue going on in your mind: “Okay, I’m making pretty good money right now. However, I have an opportunity to reach the point of making 7 figures a year here. But, I don’t really need a 7 figure a year income – after all, who really needs that kind of money?
“But on the other hand, I do have children and a family, and I would really like to pay off my house – and I want to pay it off as soon as possible. And, at some point I would really like to be able to buy several more houses so that if my current business stops bringing in a good income at some point - maybe ten or fifteen years in the future, or whenever - then if I own real estate I am still going to have another very good source of income. And I can be in a very good position to help my family, my parents, and other people I care about as well.”

Do you see how this mindset will give you plenty of motivation to move yourself towards greater levels of wealth? Trust me, when you consider all the good you would be able to do for others it is highly motivating!

Along these same lines, you can also think about all the money you would be able to give to a charity that you are passion about. Or, you could even set up a charity of your own for something that is particularly meaningful to you.

I personally find it so much easier to be highly motivated when I think about others than myself. If I had thought only of myself all these years, I probably wouldn’t be earning 7 figures a year today. I would have become comfortable enough, and my motivation to go beyond that would have dwindled.

Becoming comfortable is one of the greatest demotivators. But when you start to think about everybody else, and all the big goals that extend beyond yourself, that comfort quickly dissipates and suddenly you begin to feel inspired, motivated, and enthusiastic about creating more wealth.

Don’t think about the money, think about all the good you can do in the world with the money – with great wealth.

Focus on helping others and you’ll become much more motivated!

Millionaire Mindset Trait #5: Always attend to important tasks immediately – never waste your time procrastinating.

Millionaires don’t waste time procrastinating. If the task or project is important they’ll start on it immediately, or they’ll delegate it to someone else.

If it is less important, then they delegate it, schedule it for later in their calendar, or put it in an ideas folder. That way they can forget about it and move forward with tasks and projects that are important.

A good friend of mine, Mark Joyner, who is also a New York Times best selling author, is especially good at time management. He can accomplish far more in a day than just about anyone I’ve ever known. And, he is very good at helping others learn how to do the same. He once told me that, to him, there is this “cosmic RAM” going on in our heads – when I use the word RAM I am referring to computer terminology – “random access memory”.

Let’s say for example you are working online and you have several internet applications open all at the same time – such as photo shop, web browsers, Microsoft Word, and perhaps you’ve got some video software going as well – you’ve got all these programs open and operating on your computer simultaneously.

Now you probably realize that this is going to slow down your computer significantly – it’s not going to run very fast or efficiently when you have all of these applications open. And if you continue to use your computer like that you will find that it is in constant need of repairs because it overheats – it simply can’t handle that kind of load all the time.

The same sort of thing happens in your mind. Let’s say you are thinking about the laundry, vacuuming, and housework you need to do; your kids have a birthday party they are supposed to go to on the weekend and you need to get gifts for that; plus you’ve got this website you need to set up or some part of your business you need to attend to; and on top of all of that you just bought an exciting new training course that teaches you how to do something you’ve been wanting to learn for awhile now. You’re thinking to yourself how you need to get all these things done.

Just like your computer, you’re brain is overloaded with all of these different things going on in your head at the same time. Needless to say, that affects your own internal cosmic RAM, and that’s not a good thing. Metaphorically speaking, it’s going to overheat.

What you need to learn how to do is 1) get all of the most pressing tasks done right away, 2) put them on your calendar to do at a future date – preferably an online or phone calendar so you can forget about them for now but know that you’ll be reminded about them at the right time, or 3) delegate some of the tasks to other people – particularly those that are business related. 4) For non-urgent tasks that you don’t know when you will be able to get to them, you can put in an ideas folder. Ideas folders are great – you just review the tasks in it every month to see if you have time to work on them.

In order to be efficient and productive - like with your computer – and to keep things running smoothly, you need to be able to “close off” the majority of those tasks in your mind so that you’re brain is not too cluttered with so many things going on in it. This way, when you do work on a task you can really focus your mind on it. The more focused you are, the more likely you are to do it properly and finish it more quickly than if you try to focus on too many tasks all at the same time.

Millionaire Mindset Trait #4: Constantly be learning from other millionaires – from those who are already where you want to be or who are more successful than you in a certain area.

Millionaires seek advice, they read books, and they listen to audio and video programs from people who are more successful than them in a specific area. So it doesn’t necessarily mean that that person makes more money than they do, but rather those people they are listening to are better than they are in an area in which they are interested in improving themselves.

Now, it’s an unfortunate thing but the average person in society actually gets really jealous of people who are more successful than them. That’s one of the reasons you will often hear people make pejorative statements about wealthy people – for example, “rich people are greedy”, or “money brings out the worst in people”, or more subtly derogatory statements such as “filthy rich”.

It’s much easier to make yourself feel better about your lack of success (and meager bank account) by putting others down rather than to own the fact that you are responsible for your life and your financial situation.

Millionaires know, however, that harboring jealousy towards others’ success is pointless. They realize it is far better to be inspired from the success of other people, and to learn from them.

If you ascribe to the principles of the Law of Attraction, then you are most likely aware that resenting or disliking others’ for their success and wealth is going to sabotage your own ability to attract the same. It puts negative energy out into the universe, and the universe will respond back in kind.

Instead, if you express happiness and good will for others – even those who may seem to have far more than they deserve – the universe will reward you – because that is positive energy and will allow you to attract positive things into your own life.

If you find yourself feeling jealous, envious, or negative in any way with regards to other’s good fortune, then it’s really important that you begin to change your thinking. Those negative thoughts and feelings will not help you at all towards successfully reaching your own goals.

You really must learn how to actually be happy for other people’s success and to be inspired by it. Look for ways that you can learn from them. Disliking them or allowing jealous feelings will not get your anywhere. It certainly won’t help you in your goal of creating a life filled with wealth and abundance.

Most millionaires have that mindset – they are genuinely happy for other’s success and good fortune. I know this very well because I personally know a lot of millionaires. Every one of us is always sharing advice back and forth with each other. Not only that; every one of the millionaires I know would much rather hear that someone’s successfully making money rather than hear that they are struggling or failing.

They may experience a twinge of jealousy once in awhile when someone is really successful – after all, they’re human too. But they aren’t going to say things like “I hate that guy”. Rather, most millionaires are much more likely to have a healthy respect for someone else’s success. And, they will look for ways to learn from it to improve their own life.

They are likely to say to themselves, “Okay, now just what exactly did he do to accomplish that?” They take action and investigate a little further. In fact, they may just call the person and ask. Most wealthy people love sharing great ideas and helping others by telling them what worked for them.

Once they learn and understand what the successful person did, other millionaires will likely say to themselves, “Oh, okay, I see what he did. Now I am going to try implementing that same thing into my own business and make it work for me as well.” That attitude is really important and will make a huge difference in your life!

Perhaps you’re thinking to yourself, “Great – I don’t know any millionaires personally, so how can I learn from them? It’s not like I can call them and pick their brain for awhile.”

If you don’t personally know any millionaires to associate yourself with then there are plenty of ways you can learn from other millionaires. Start by flooding yourself with knowledge from them – by listening to their audio and video programs, or reading any books they have written.

Books are a fantastic way to learn from the success of others! There are a lot of great books on Amazon.com for instance. I am constantly learning from other millionaires and improving my mind on a daily basis. Every night - or almost every night - I spend some time reading a different book that has to do with wealth creation or other forms of business. I can definitely say from experience that doing this regularly will really make a difference in your life.

Audio programs are excellent learning tools as well. Perhaps you don’t want to sit down and read – maybe you’d rather be outside taking a walk. Audio programs are great for this. You can often get audio versions of books – there are a ton of “wealth gurus” who have audio programs to help you become more successful and increase your wealth.

Some of the greats are Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer, Jack Canfield, Suze Orman, and Robert Kiyosaki just to name a few. You can download audio programs onto your iPod, MP3 player, or pop a CD into your car stereo. It’s really a very helpful way to upgrade your mind by doing this every day.

By finding ways to constantly learn from other millionaires you will begin changing your mindset – you will start to think along very different lines than what the average person in society thinks. Reading books, watching videos, and listening to audios regularly will affect your subconscious thoughts on a daily basis and bring about amazing results.

If you struggle with frequent negative thoughts over which you feel you don’t have much if any control, then this is a great way to rapidly start changing those very thoughts to ones of possibility, abundance, and gratitude – all things which will empower you and move you towards your wealth goals.

Also, you will begin to develop a greater understanding of how wealth is actually made. While each millionaire’s approach might be a little different, you will find that the underlying principles are pretty much the same. You will start to realize that wealth creation is a skill you can absolutely acquire rather than some airy fairy sort of thing that only lucky people get to have, as that is simply not true (and a negative belief that you need to eradicate!)

Millionaire Mindset Trait #3: Reinvesting your money is how you make big money – and you should never feel guilty about making big money. by Mark Ling

Millionaires understand that it’s the reinvestment of money that makes the big money. Money invested wisely multiplies itself. To put it simply: Money makes money.

This is a key difference that sets millionaires apart from the average person. Millionaires invest their money and spend what is left, whereas most people in society spend their money and invest what is left – and that’s the wrong way around. In fact, that’s a good way to remain broke, as it’s far too easy to spend everything and not have anything left to reinvest.

One of the best things you can start to do now is to decide on a certain percentage of your income that you will reinvest regularly. Make that the minimum amount, and then, say, if you have an unusually good month invest even more. Make a commitment to yourself that this money is already earmarked for reinvesting – for growing your wealth – and is not to be spent on other things. Otherwise it is far too tempting to use it to buy the latest high-tech gadget you saw advertised.

Make reinvesting a habit and the rewards will be great. It is a powerful way to move you towards your goal of becoming a millionaire It’s also important to understand that wealth is not fairly distributed based on who deserves it. You won’t ever become wealthy by selling your time for money – at least you won’t attain any truly big wealth. Wealth is also not something you should ever feel guilty about making.

A lot of people feel guilty if they make more money (relatively speaking, considering inflation) than their parents did. And this type of guilt will really trip you up in your quest to become a millionaire. It is a self-limiting belief that can easily become a self-fulfilling prophecy. So if you’ve got that kind of belief system going through your mind frequently, or deeply ingrained in your values, you will really need to change it as soon as possible in order to become wealthy.

You can overcome it by choosing an appropriate affirmation to replace it. You must begin to reprogram your mind to where you truly believe that money is actually a good thing. If you want to become a millionaire it is essential that you believe that becoming as wealthy as possible is actually a healthy and natural thing to do.
Money is not evil – it is not the root of all evil. Sure, people can and have throughout history used money at times to fund evil things that harmed individuals or society as a whole. It certainly took a significant amount of money to fund and pull off the terrorist attacks that occurred on 9/11. But, that is the extreme exception.
Wealth is not a bad thing; it is not an automatic reflection of greed or selfishness. If those are your thoughts then it is time to change them to begin thinking of money as a good thing. As something that can open doors, create opportunities, give you more freedom to do good things, and to allow you to significantly help others and the world in general.

Millionaires recognize that money is good because it is a payment for clever thinking and wise leveraging of one’s time. So they continuously reinvest money to make money. They fully understand the concept of making their money work for them – as money makes money. It’s a mathematical thing.

Keep in mind, at the lower levels you may start out getting paid for your time – just about all of us have to do that. But even if you are being aid for your time working for someone else, it is essential that you always set aside some of your income and reinvest it. By doing so you allow your money to multiply itself – over and over and over.

Leveraging your time means that you’ve got to pay other people to do things for you – things that aren’t a good use of our time. Most millionaires have their own businesses. They don’t try to run them all by themselves – rather, they pay people – their employees – to do the majority of the work for them. I have 8 companies and 35 staff – if I tried to take care of everything myself my companies would quickly suffer – not to mention I certainly couldn’t have grown my business to that level by myself. Part of reinvesting my money was to hire others to do work I couldn’t do myself – either because I lacked the time or the skill – or to do work I didn’t like to do so I could put my energy and enthusiasm into what I enjoy the most – as that is also what I do the best.

Remember when I was still a student at university just starting out with my internet business, I hired another student to work 10 hours a week for me. And then I hired several more as my business grew. Believe me, as a kid in college I could have easily spent that money on fun things instead. I also could have continued to do all the work myself. But I realized that the smartest thing – clever thinking – was to put that money right back into my business – reinvesting it - and pay others to do some of the work. I wisely leveraged my time early on, and that helped me to become a millionaire.

If you don’t reinvest your money at the start then you absolutely want to do it as soon as you have any money to spare. I can’t emphasize this enough. You must reinvest money to make money. That’s how true wealth – the big money - is made. And every millionaire I know understands this and does this.

When I say reinvest, this can be into things such as the stock market or similar types of investments. However, I personally believe that the ideal way – the best way if you want to get a high return on your money – is to simply reinvest your money back into yourself and your own business.

If you’ve got an internet marketing business like me, you can reinvest your money back into things such as getting more of your money making websites set up, getting more traffic to your websites – basically focusing on those four areas discussed earlier - leads, conversion rates, dollars per customer, and transactions per customer.

If you’re in another type of industry, there are countless ways in which you can reinvest your money back into your business – hire more staff to do tasks that you don’t like doing or don’t have time to do; hire a consultant to help you improve your business in different areas; move your business to a better location; expand your product line; develop new products; and so on.

As long as you are reinvesting your money wisely, it will continue to grow and bring
you that much closer to reaching millionaire status!

Millionaire Mindset Trait #2: Focus on the business model that can significantly help you increase your income.

The majority of millionaires understand that the universe doesn’t just hand you money. While a few do believe that can and does happen by following the tenets of the Law of Attraction, in my experience the majority of millionaires are much more pragmatic about how wealth is acquired. Most millionaires understand that real money is made by focusing on this business model:

Leads multiplied by conversion rates times the average dollars made per customer times the average number of transactions per customer determines the amount of money you make.
Let me put it more simply:

Leads x
Conversion rates x
Average $$$ per customer x
Average number of transactions per customer
= Your income

In my work as an internet marketer, that business model is what I always focus on. It has played a significant role not only in helping me become a millionaire, but in helping me continually grow my business.

I’m always working on finding ways to get more traffic to my websites and get more visitors to my landing pages, which means more leads. I work to capture as many of those potential leads as I can with things like email marketing, newsletters, and so forth so I can convert those leads into buying customers or sales.
From those initial purchases I then try to get my average customer to spend more – to buy more products or higher-priced products. And from there I want to get them to become regular customers - to buy from me on an ongoing basis. All of these steps follow the business model shown above.

The greater each of those numbers in this equation, the more money I make.

Now, that’s what I do as an internet marketer.
Perhaps you’re thinking, “what if I’m not an internet marketer – will this model still work for me?” No problem! This business model applies to virtually every type of business there is.

Let’s say you run a coffee shop. You most likely advertise in various ways in order to get more people (leads) to come into your shop. When they come in, you strive to get a higher percentage of them actually buying something from you (convert the leads). And of course, you always want to get the average person to spend more money ($$$ per customer) – for example, you might say to them as they order a coffee, “Would you like a fresh pastry to go with your coffee today?” or, if they’re ordering a pastry or lunch, “Would you like some freshly brewed coffee to go with that?”

And then, of course, you always try to get each customer to come back and buy from you again (average number of transactions per customer). So, for example, you might offer them a loyalty tab (kind of like frequent flyer miles except it’s coffee) or something like that. Or, if you’re a savvy business owner utilizing the power of the internet, you get them to sign up for your email list. Then you can occasionally run a
special offer and tell them in the email, “Hey, if you come in today you will get a free latte with whatever you order”.

All of those things combined will determine the amount of money your business brings in. At the end of the day, no matter what industry you’re in – whether it’s internet marketing, running a hotel, or selling real estate - these are the four things that you want to always be focusing on if you want to reach your goal of becoming a
millionaire. Millionaires understand that you really want to pay close attention to detail and always keep trying to improve upon each area, because the money that you make is a multiplication of these four things – in other words, the higher those numbers, the more money you will make. So if you improve even just a couple of these things it will greatly boost your income.

Let’s look at some numbers…

For example, let’s say you have a business that’s bringing in $5000 per month - $60,000 per year. If you were to double just two of these areas – say your leads double and the average dollar amount per customer doubles – your income would quadruple – you’ve just gone from $60,000 per year to $240,000 per year! Not bad.

But let’s look at what happens if you double all four areas - your leads double, your conversion rates double, your average dollar amount per customer doubles, and the average number of transactions per customer doubles. Now you’re making sixteen times more money than you were making initially. $5000 per month x 12 months x 16 = $960,000 a year!

Now, as you can see it doesn’t take much of an increase to substantially increase your income. But let’s play with the numbers just one more time. Let’s say you tripled each one of those areas? You’d be making 81 times more money than you were originally!! Yes – 81 times!! So, your business has now gone from $5,000 a
month / $60,000 a year, to bringing in (are you sitting down?) – $405,000 per month!
Just by tripling those numbers. That’s an amazing leap from a meager $60,000 per year to $4,860,000 per year!

Hopefully you can now see how focusing on that business model – how an increase in any of those areas and especially in all four areas - can absolutely move you towards your goal of becoming a millionaire!
Millionaires understand the power of this business model and they use it to create wealth.

Millionaire Mindset Trait #1: Your thoughts create your reality.

Millionaires understand that the outside world closely mirrors what goes on inside one’s mind. In other words, your thoughts create your reality. They recognize the power of their thoughts in terms of achieving their goals and creating the life they desire.

If you want to know the type of stuff that goes on inside someone’s head, just look at their life. Likewise, if you wonder why your life is the way it is (good or bad) then consider the kinds of thoughts that you think on a regular basis. Most people rarely achieve more than what their self belief systems will allow. In other words, they will rarely exceed what they believe is possible for themselves. For example, if they believe they can never be more than an average wage earner, then they will unlikely ever make more than an average income. Or, along those same lines, if they believe they are not good enough to marry the type of person they truly desire to be with, they will either end up settling (often miserably) with someone else, or they will remain alone. Essentially, their life becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy of their belief system. Their outside world clearly reflects the very thoughts they continuously entertain.

This concept applies to what they believe about the world as well. For example, if you believe that life is unfair and only really “lucky” people (for example, those who are born into wealth or win the lottery) can become millionaires, then you will probably never put the effort towards becoming a millionaire yourself. In fact, it’s difficult to be motivated at all if you believe good things mostly or only happen because of luck.
Fortunately, though, what you believe about yourself can be reprogrammed. However, in order to do so you must actively work to ‘weed out’ all those negative beliefs. Once you are aware of your negative beliefs then you can begin to actively replace them with positive ones.

Without self-awareness, it is impossible to make the necessary changes that will allow you to succeed in achieving your goals. Millionaires keenly understand that, because their outer world does and will always
mirror what goes on in their mind, they create their lives and shape their own destiny with their thoughts. They also understand that to do this they often must venture outside of their comfort zone a bit. Most people, however, don’t understand this – they have many goals and dreams that definitely achievable if they take action. But unfortunately, the action they need to take may be just outside of their comfort zone. Unlike the few who achieve incredible wealth, the majority simply are not willing to do very many things that are unfamiliar and uncomfortable. By nature, we as human beings tend to prefer to stay in our comfort zone – even if the consequences of doing so are not in our best interest. But when you dare to stretch yourself and endure some discomfort, the rewards can be incredible!

I’ll give you a good example of this: Most people can learn to play the guitar or piano, or learn a foreign language. But doing so is just outside their comfort zone because it takes time and effort. Learning these skills requires a lot of practice – usually at least an hour or so several days a week for months and months - and often a few years - in order to master that goal. So, even though most goals are truly achievable for most people, the fact that the path to getting there is just outside the average person’s comfort zone keeps many people from even trying. This is one of the reasons few people ever become millionaires.

But millionaires very keenly understand that they are responsible for creating their lives and shaping their own destinies. They fully understand that doing so requires doing those very tasks that most people refuse to do – tasks outside their comfort zone. They do it, though, because the reward outweighs the discomfort along the
way – and they’re serious about achieving their goals. The irony is that it’s often not drastically far outside of their comfort zone – rather, it’s just enough to cause most people to hesitate or not try at all. What you allow to go on inside your head is one of the key factors that determines whether you go through life earning an average income or earning a 7 figure income, and the quality of those thoughts will determine whether or not you will actually take action towards your goals on a daily basis even when it’s not comfortable to do so.
As long as you choose to stay in your comfort zone, you are not going to accomplish very much in your life, and you definitely won’t become a self-made millionaire.

Cognitive dissonance

Now, there’s a psychological concept that explains why the world around you – your external reality - closely mirrors what goes on inside your head. It’s called “cognitive dissonance” and it occurs when the world outside is out of alignment with your thoughts and beliefs.
Cognitive dissonance means there is internal conflict - and your brain prefers harmony. So your mind quickly begins working (often subconsciously) to determine ways to get rid of the conflict. Your brain will find a way to make your outside world accurately mirror your thoughts and beliefs. This is one of the reasons why your thoughts (and choosing positive, empowering ones) are so very important!!
So, if you believe you are capable of a lot more than what is actually happening in your life – if you firmly believe that and you adopt this and the other mindset traits that I’m about to reveal to you, then your mind will work towards your goals rather than against them – because again, it wants to resolve any cognitive dissonance.
To put it more simply – If you want to change your world (and become a millionaire), you have to start
by changing your thoughts. Since your outer world will always end up reflecting your thoughts – you must
choose positive, self-empowering thoughts that fit with and support your goals!

Now a lot of people believe that this is the Law of Attraction at work – that the universe is doing it for you. This may very well be the case, although I’m somewhat more inclined to think that it is largely due to the fact that by focusing on your goals and all the things you desire, and by reprogramming your mind so that you have a millionaire mindset, you will end up – both on conscious and subconscious levels – working your way towards achieving those goals. Because your brain wants the cognitive dissonance to go away! Either way, believing in yourself and your ability to achieve the life of your dreams is a very important mindset trait for you to acquire if you are truly serious about becoming a millionaire some day. In fact, that belief will make an enormous difference in your life, so the sooner you adopt it the better!

Whenever you find yourself saying anything inside your head that is negative and not helping you towards your goals, stop those thoughts. It’s not easy to consciously monitor your thoughts all day long in order to make yourself think more positive, empowering thoughts – after all, that takes a lot of effort. It’s much easier to just
continue to allow a runaway stream of negative thoughts to go on in your head. But that has serious consequences for your life. It’s kind of like the parents who allow their children to run around screaming, throwing tantrums, and doing whatever they want regardless of the consequences. In the end, not only do the parents suffer but the children do as well. I’m sure you’ve been around families like that (or have one of your own) and most likely it wasn’t a pleasant experience. However, by providing proper supervision (and close monitoring) and discipline, and by setting appropriate limits, those children will more likely grow up to be respectable, responsible adults. Just like being a good parent, it’s really important to consciously
monitor your thoughts and stop the negative ones. Use positive affirmations to begin to take control over what’s going on in your mind.

It is extremely important and helpful to begin consciously changing your thoughts, especially if you’re not actively thinking on a regular basis the types of thoughts that will help you to believe in yourself and develop the confidence to start moving towards your goals. Begin to take action on changing your thoughts today. Understand that you can reprogram your inner belief system, no matter how “out of control” it may be right
now. If you can get your inner belief system to accept that you’re truly going to achieve your goals, and you start adopting all the traits that you’re learning right now from reading this article, you’ll be a lot more likely to get there. In fact, you will get there.

Meditation can bring a variety of benefits to your life. You can use it to gain more energy, focus
your mind, relax your body, attain peace, rejuvenate your spirit, and many other things.
Meditation is primarily a way to rest and relax your mind.
Meditation allows your mind to go into a deeper, more relaxed stage where you're more aware of your body and surroundings.
There are various methods of meditation, but they all focus on the main goal to quiet your mind and achieve a state of inner calm.
Here are three simple strategies that can help you get the most from your meditation:
1. Choose the best time and place. Because of our different schedules and harried lives, not everyone will find the same time best for them. The time of day is not really so important as long as you pick a time that works well for you.
- Choose a time to meditate when you won't have the phone ringing or kids knocking on your door. To quite your mind you need quiet in the home.
- It's best to avoid times right before or after eating.
- Some people do well with 10 minutes of meditation time while others need at least a half hour.
It's also important that you find a great place for your meditation. You'll need an environment that's
both relaxing and quiet, so that nothing takes your attention away from meditating.
- Turn off loud appliances, the television, and even your phone, so you're not distracted or interrupted.
- Sometimes going outdoors can provide an inspirational place for meditation.
- Setting a calm mood will help you meditate. Closing the curtains, turning on soft light, or lighting your favorite scented candle might help you relax.
2. Clear your mind. Even when we're still, our minds continue to think. It's easy to allow the problems of the day to come into your mind while you're trying to meditate. It's important that you focus your attention on meditating and work to clear your mind.
- Breathe deeply and concentrate on relaxing your body. Picture each part of your body going limp as you relax. With each breath, inhale peace and exhale your worries.
- Envision a place that brings you happiness. This place can be real or imagined as long as you're relaxed and not thinking about your problems.
3. Find your inner peace. Find your place of inner peace when you meditate. It's the place inside of you that's quiet and far away from the cares of the world.
- When you're able to totally clear your mind, you can usually bring yourself to a place where you truly feel peace and happiness.
- Allow yourself to stay in this place for a while, calming and relaxing your body and mind.
It's not hard to meditate. While it's more difficult when you first get started, over time it becomes easier and easier to reach your goal of finding peace and relaxation.

Your greatest result … begins with your decision! There is a single mental move you can make which, in a millisecond, will solve enormous problems for you. It has the potential to improve almost any personal or business situation you will ever encounter … and it could literally propel you down the path to incredible success. We have a name for this magic mental activity … it is called DECISION.
Decisions or the lack of them are responsible for the breaking or making of many a career. Individuals who have become very proficient at making decisions, without being influenced by the opinions of others, are the same people whose annual incomes fall into the six and seven figure category. However, it’s not just your income that is affected by decisions; your whole life is dominated by this power. The health of your mind and body, the well-being of your family, your social life, the type of relationships you develop … all are dependent upon your ability to make sound decisions.
“Decision making” is not a class you can take
You would think anything as important as decision-making, when it has such far-reaching power would be taught in every school, but it is not. To compound the problem, not only is decision-making missing from the curriculum of our educational institutions, up until recently, it’s also been absent from most of the corporate training and human resource programs available.
So, how is a person expected to develop this mental ability? Quite simply, you must do it on your own. However, I think it’s important to understand that it’s not difficult to learn how to make wise decisions. Armed with the proper information and by subjecting yourself to certain disciplines, you can become a very effective decision maker. You can virtually eliminate conflict and confusion in your life by becoming proficient at making decisions. Decision-making brings order to your mind, and of course, this order is then reflected in your objective world … your results.
James Allen may have been thinking of decisions when he wrote, “We think in secret and it comes to pass. Environment is but our looking glass.” No one can see you making decisions but they will almost always see the results of your decisions. The person who fails to develop their ability to make decisions is doomed because indecision sets up internal conflicts that can, without warming, escalate into all out mental and emotional wars. Psychiatrists have a name to describe these internal wars: it is ambivalence. My Oxford Dictionary tells me that ambivalence is the co-existence in one person of opposite feelings toward the same objective.
What happens when decisions are not made
You do not require a doctorate degree in psychiatry to understand that you are going to have difficulty in your life by permitting your mind to remain in an ambivalent state for any period of time. The person who does permit it to exist will become very despondent and virtually incapable of any type of productive activity. It is obvious that anyone who finds themselves in such a mental state is not living; at best, they are merely existing. A decision or a series of decisions would change everything. A very basic law of the universe is “create or disintegrate”. Indecision causes disintegration. How often have you heard a person say, “I don’t know what to do.” How often have you heard yourself say, “What should I do?” Think about some of the indecisive feelings you and virtually everyone on this planet experience from time to time.

BUY IT – DON’T BUY IT

Everyone, on occasion, has experienced these feelings of ambivalence. If it happens to you frequently, decide right now to stop it. The cause of ambivalence is indecision, but we must keep in mind that the truth is not always in the appearance of things. Indecision is a cause of ambivalence, however it is a secondary cause, it is not the primary cause.
Here’s what all decision makers have in common
I have been studying the behavior of people who have become very proficient at making decisions for over a quarter century. They all have one thing in common. They have a very strong self image, a high degree of self-esteem. They may be as different as night is to day in numerous other respects, but they certainly possess confidence. Low self-esteem or a lack of confidence is the real culprit here. Decision makers are not afraid of making an error. If and when they make an error in their decision, or fail at something, they have the ability to shrug it off. They learn from the experience but they will never submit to the failure.
Every decision maker was either fortunate enough to have been raised in an environment where decision-making was a part of their upbringing, or they developed the ability themselves at a later date. They are aware of something that everyone, who hopes to live a full life, must understand: Decision making is something you cannot avoid.
That is the cardinal principle of decision making. DECIDE RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE WITH WHATEVER YOU’VE GOT. This is precisely why most people never master this important aspect of life. They permit their resources to dictate if and when a decision will or can be made. When John Kennedy asked Werner Von Braun what it would take to build a rocket that would carry a man to the moon and return him safely to earth, his answer was simple and direct. “The will to do it.” President Kennedy never asked if it was possible. He never asked if they could afford it or any one of a thousand other questions, all of which would have … at that time … been valid questions.
President Kennedy made a decision … he said, we will put a man on the moon and return him safely to earth before the end of the decade. The fact that it had never been done before in all the hundreds of thousands of years of human history was not even a consideration. He DECIDED where he was with what he had. The objective was accomplished in his mind the second he made the decision. It was only a matter of time … which is governed by natural law before the goal was manifested in form for the whole world to see.
Here’s what happens once you make the decision
I was … just hours ago … in an office with three people. We were discussing the purchase of shares in a company. I was selling, they were buying. After a reasonable amount of time, one of the partners asked me when I wanted a decision. I replied, “Right now.” I said, “You already know what you want to do.” There was some discussion about money. I pointed out that money had nothing to do with it. Once you make the decision you will find the money … every time. If that is the only benefit you receive from this particular message on decision-making, burn it into your mind. It will change your life. I explained to two of these people that I never let money enter my mind when I am deciding whether I will or will not do something. Whether I can afford it or not is never a consideration. Whether I want to or not is the only consideration. You can afford anything, there is an infinite supply of money. All of the money in the world is available to you, when the decision is firmly made. If you need money, you will attract it.
I am well aware there are any number of people who will say that is absurd. You can’t just decide to do something if you do not have the necessary resources. And that’s fine if that is the way they choose to think. I see that as a very limiting way of thinking. In truth, it probably is not thinking at all … it is very likely an opinion being expressed that was inherited from another older member of their family who did not think either. Thinking is very important. Decision makers are great thinkers. Do you ever give much consideration to your thoughts? … how they affect the various aspects of your life? Although this should be one of our most serious considerations, for many people it is not. There is a very small select few who make any attempt to control or govern their thoughts.
Anyone who has made a study of the great thinkers, the great decision makers, the achievers of history, will know they very rarely agreed on anything when it came to the study of human life. However, there was one point on which they were in complete and unanimous agreement and that was, “We become what we think about.”
What do YOU think about? You and I must realize that our thoughts ultimately control every decision we make. You are the sum total of your thoughts. By taking charge this very minute, you can guarantee yourself a good day. Refuse to let unhappy, negative people or circumstances affect you.
Why circumstance gets in the way The greatest stumbling block you will encounter when making important decisions in your life is circumstance. We let circumstance get us off the hook when we should be giving it everything we’ve got. More dreams are shattered and goals lost because of circumstance than any other single factor.
How often have you caught yourself saying, “I would like to do or have this but I can’t because …” Whatever follows “because” is the circumstance. Circumstances may cause a detour in your life but you should never permit them to stop you from making important decisions. Napoleon said, “Circumstances … I make them.”
The next time you hear someone say they would like to vacation in Paris, or purchase a particular automobile but they can’t because they have no money, explain they don’t need the money until they make a decision to go to Paris or purchase the car. When the decision is made, they will figure out a way to get the amount needed. They always do.
What happens if you make the wrong decision?
Many misguided individuals try something once or twice and if they do not hit the bullseye, they feel they are a failure. Failing does not make anyone a failure, but quitting most certainly does and quitting is a decision. By following that form of reasoning, you would have to say when you make a decision to quit, you make a decision to fail. Every day in America, you hear about a baseball player signing a contract that will pay him a few million dollars a year. You should try to keep in mind … that same player misses the ball more often than he hits it when he steps up to the plate.
Everyone remembers Babe Ruth for the 714 home runs he hit and they rarely mention that he struck out 1,330 times.
Charles F. Kettering said, and I quote, “When you’re inventing , if you flunk 999 times and succeed once, you’re in.” That is true of just about any activity you can name, but the world will soon forget your failures in light of your achievements. Don’t worry about failing, it will toughen you up and get you ready for your big win. Winning is a decision.
Many years ago Helen Keller was asked if she thought there was anything worse than being blind. She quickly replied that there was something much worse. She said, “The most pathetic person in the world is a person who has their sight but no vision.” I agree with Helen Keller.
At 91, J.C. Penny was asked how his eyesight was. He replied that his sight was failing but his vision had never been better. That is really great, isn’t it?
Don’t worry about how it’s all supposed to turn out
When a person has no vision of a better way of life, they automatically shut themselves in a prison; they limit themselves to a life without hope. This frequently happens when a person has seriously tried, on a number of occasions, to win, only to meet with failure time after time. Repeated failures can damage a person’s self-image and cause them to lose sight of their potential. They, therefore make a decision to give up and resign themselves to their fate.
Take the first step in predicting your own prosperous future. Build a mental picture of exactly how you would like to live. Make a firm decision to hold on to that vision and positive ways to improve everything will begin to flow into your mind.
Many people get a beautiful vision of how they would like to live but because they cannot see how they are going to make it all happen, they let the vision go. If they knew how they were going to get it or do it, they would have a plan not a vision. There is no inspiration in a plan but there sure is in a vision. When you get the vision, freeze frame it with a decision and don’t worry about how you will do it or where the resources will come from. Charge your decision with enthusiasm … that is important. Refuse to worry about how it will happen.
A course on Advanced Decision Making
We make advanced bookings when we fly somewhere, that is quite common. We make advanced reservations to eliminate any confusion or problems when the time arrives for the journey. We do the same with renting a car, for the same reason. Think of the problems you will eliminate by making many of the decisions you must make … well in advance. I’ll give you an excellent example. As I am preparing this message it is Ramadan, a time where all practicing Muslims fast. I was in an office yesterday in Kuala Lumpur and was asked if I would like a cup of tea or coffee. I replied that I would appreciate a cup of tea. The lady next to me was then asked if she would like a cup and she replied … “No, I’m fasting.” When she was asked, she did not have to decide whether she wanted anything or not. Whether she was thirsty or not was not a consideration. A decision had previously been made and her advanced Decision was well tempered with discipline.
The exact same concept works with a person when they are on a diet to release weight. Their decisions are made in advance. If they are offered a big slice of chocolate cake, they don’t have to say, “Gee, that looks good … I wonder if I should.” The decision is made in advance.
I made a decision a long time ago that I would not participate in discussions of why something cannot be done. The only compensation you will ever receive for participating in or giving energy to that type of discussion, is something you do not want. I always find it amazing at the number of seemingly intelligent people who persist in dragging you into these negative brainstorming sessions. In one breath these people tell you they seriously want to accomplish a particular objective. And, in the next breath, they begin talking about why they can’t. Think of how much more of life they would enjoy by making a decision that they will no longer participate in that type of negative energy.
Other habits practiced by advanced decision makers . . .
The humanistic psychologist, Dr. Abraham Maslow who devoted his life to studying self actualized people, stated very clearly that we should follow our inner guide and not be swayed by the opinion of others or outside circumstances. Maslow’s research showed that the decision makers in life had a number of things in common; most importantly, they did work they felt was worthwhile and important. They found work a pleasure, and there was little distinction between work and play. Dr. Maslow said, to be self actualized you must not only be doing work you consider to be important, you must do it well and enjoy it.
Dr. Maslow recorded that these superior performers had values, those qualities in their personalities they considered to be worthwhile and important. Their values were not imposed by society, parents or other people in their lives. They did make their own decisions. Like their work, they chose and developed their values themselves.
Your life is important and, at its best, life is short.
You have the potential to do anything you choose, and to do it well. But, you must make decisions and when the time for a decision arrives, you must make your decision where you are with what you’ve got.
Let me leave you with the words of two great decision makers, William James and Thomas Edison. William James suggested that, compared to what we ought to be, we are making use of only a small part of our physical and mental resources. Why I'm routing for the GIANTS- it's not why you think!

I am very excited to see the San Francisco Giants in the World Series, and it's not because I am a sports fan. The Giants are the hometown hero's for my area. I am routing for the Giants because I believe in achieving impossible goals that you set for yourself. Right now, the Giants are the epitome of the Underdog. It was never considered that the Giants would even make it through the play-offs against a much better team, BUT THEY DID! Last night the Giants won by a huge lead in the first game of the World Series.

To me this is saying how having faith & staying true to your goals really can make the BIG playoff. I believe the Giants are on top of the world today because of the huge outpouring of support from their fans, and to the teams visualizations of becoming World Series Winners.

What you put your mind to you will succeed. Average people can apply these easy principles to their own goals and dreams. Visualize yourself at the top of your "game" whatever that may be for you & surely you will achieve it. You must also practice to perfection what you need to DO to make your goal a reality. Be consistent, like an athlete during his training & most of all never give up!

I am loving that the Giants 2010 theme song is "Don't Stop Believing" it is so true for them and you.

Go GIANTS!

Entrepreneurs: How's your Karma?

Many of you will be familiar with the concept of karma. According to karma theory, every action has a consequence and good acts will have positive results and bad acts will produce negative results. In more common terms, karma is explained by various sayings like:

“What goes around, comes around”

“You reap what you sow”

“The laws of cause and effect”

However, there is an additional element of karma that I want to talk to you about today. That element is talked about in Buddhism and links karma directly to the motives behind an action. This means that the motivation behind something can make the difference between something being a “good” or “bad” action.
Whether you believe in karma or not, this additional element is important in business or being an entrepreneur.

Why?

Well, often when developing our businesses we may want things to happen faster than they often do and, to get things moving faster, we can be lured into resorting to other tactics to get stuff done. However, in doing this we can lose sight of our and others ability to sense when someone is not being ‘true’ or is being ‘nice’ in order to get us to do something. This is our emotional instinct or ‘sixth’ sense and tells us a lot about what is going on around us and can reveal our true motivations behind our actions.

What does this mean for us as entrepreneurs?

Well, if we look at networking as an example. In business, networking is seen as an essential strategy for building new relationships, expanding your network and finding new possibilities to help you grow your business. However, many entrepreneurs are impatient creatures and can get frustrated with networking as it can take time to start delivering results. This can mean that they can slip back into selling or trying to figure out how they can leverage their network to get what they want and not on how they can help their network.
I think John F. Kennedy said this best at his inaugural address in 1961 when he said:

‘And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country.’

So, if your network was your country ask yourself what you can do for your ‘country’ not what your ‘country’ can do for you. I think this is a great way to think about your networking and to make sure that your motivations are in the right direction.
Going about your networking in this way will allow you to build your karma in your network and, hopefully in time that will flow back to you directly or in other ways.

Making A Difference Was Made Magical By The Make-A-Wish Foundation

The lives of two incredible children were changed forever thanks to the SendOutCards family and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Five-year-old Carlos, aka Happy Man, became a super hero for the day. Dressed in his super hero costume and equipped with a custom comic book written especially for him, Carlos zapped the entire convention audience with happiness. Tears were shed, but more importantly, a smile never left the face of a special little boy suffering from a life-threatening spinal condition.

Six-year-old Lizzie’s wish to go on a Disney Cruise with her family and escape the daily struggles of hospitals was granted on stage as she stood beautifully with her family. Lizzie is fighting a battle against a brain tumor and will now be able to relax with Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the Disney family. This precious girl will be accompanied by her immediate family and by the wishes of her SendOutCards family who love her.

Thanks to the entire SendOutCards family and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, over $20,000 was raised for these two kids and to grant other outstanding children their wishes.

Overcoming Anything (a how to.)

In order to be successful, you have to overcome a great many things. Most of those obstacles are created internally. You can overcome these self-created obstacles with a little hard work and determination.
No matter what task you're taking on, you can set yourself up for success!

Here are some ways to deal with obstacles that may thwart your endeavors:

1. Understand your goals. Know exactly what it is you're trying to do. You can't just run in without a plan of some kind. Take the time to plan out your goals and the steps you intend to take to reach them. Be sure to write them down!
Research has shown that goals that we written down were achieved far greater than those merely stored in your head.

- Even with an exceptional plan, the reality is that things rarely go exactly as you'd expect. You'll have to stop and make changes at times, and that's okay! Be prepared for the unexpected with ideas on how to handle a situation if it arises.

- Identify the parts of your plan that may become problematic and lay out alternatives.

2. Trust yourself. You're in charge of your journey to success. You set your goals and you're the one making it happen, so you must trust yourself. If you truly have a great passion for what you're going to do, then you'll be the best judge of what you want.

- Follow your instincts. That little voice in the back of your head may very well end up telling you exactly what you need to succeed in your goals.

3. Get help. If there's something in your way and it's too big of an obstacle for you to remove on your own, get help! You can't do everything by yourself. As humans, we're social beings and we need help from those around us. Call you upline. Chances are that they have already been through the same difficulties you are experiencing. Remember we all started at the same place once. Learn to listen to the voice of experience & most of all follow that advice.

- Depending on the situation don't be afraid to get your friends, family or co-workers involved and welcome their input on how to get around an obstacle in
your path. This will bring in new ideas and fresh perspectives on the problem in ways you may have never considered.

4. Gain a fresh perspective. There are times when, no matter how hard you try, things just don't go your way.
This is where you need to stop, take a step back, and look at things from a different perspective.

- You become used to your routine, so the fine details can easily slip past you. Take a break and walk away for a little bit. Change your focus for a time; then come back to the problem and you may see something you missed.

5. Never ever give up. Nothing has ever been solved or accomplished by giving up. Vince Lombardi said it best: "Winners never quit and quitters never win!" This is as true as it gets.

- Being too rigid on something can be counterproductive. In order to succeed, we sometimes have to change our approach completely. Keep at the problem until you find a solution. It's there; you just have to find it.

6. Start again. Sometimes, despite all your efforts, you need to rebuild from the ground up. Maybe one of your fundamental ideas was wrong and had an effect on everything else. This happens, and while it's a setback, it's not the end of your dream.

- With a little more effort and hard work, you can do it!

Being successful isn't easy and it involves a lot of hard work, dedication and sometimes sacrifices.
With these tips, a good plan, and positive people around you to help, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.
